Most movie poster dealers don't deal in them, some do, but generally they are ones they print off themselves such as MovieGoods and their sites they sell under. Just wanted to post this in case you thought there was any collectibility to the 11x17 versions, and there really isn't. But if you are looking at tacking them to your wall in your office, try going to a local bigger theater in your area and ask the manager if they ever get in any promotional 11x17 giveaway posters for their patrons.

Mondo released the standard edition ones, Sideshow Collectibles will be offering a "variant" edition set of them. When? No one really knows, Sideshow doesn't really send out a "day in advance" announcement about them like Mondo does, so basically they will get put up on the Sideshow side eventually and then word will spread and they will sell out in minutes of the news getting out there. Emailing Sideshow won't help either, they won't tell anyone when they will release a print, they will just say it will get posted on the site when it is available. I know for the first Disney Mondo print of Steamboat Willie, it was known that Sideshow would be offering a variant, but it took a long time to get the variant actually up there on the site, so it really is a gamble as to when the Tron ones will put up. Could be tomorrow, could be next week, or next month, etc. Random...indeed.

You have to be careful when it comes to printing your own copy up, some places due to copyright laws wont print or scan movie posters for fear of getting in trouble. Do so at your own risk of course.

ya of course you must know all the risks he'd be taking. Although I wouldn't understand why you would want it that small. so print at your own risk.

It's probably going to be a while still before the variants drop. I'm still waiting for the regulars to ship from Mondo. Hoping l'll get the shipping notice this week. I was able to pre-sell the Tron one on eBay for $90, so essentially getting the Legacy one for $14.

You're such a lucky guy! I simply love all these posters that been coming out. But like i've said in the past. I wouldn't know where to put them all up. So i gotta be very selective on what to buy now.

A fair amount of U.S. Post Offices actually have a FedEx drop bin outside, so there is a chance FedEx will attempt to delivery to your post office and then your post office will leave a note in your box....but that is just a guess in my part.

I found the e-mails for the first orders but not the second. I'm not sure if it was from FedEx but I know I ordered from AP before and was successfully sent to my PO box.

Just to be safe, you may want to call them tomorrow or Monday and mention you had noticed the order was shipped to your PO Box via FedEx and see what they say, I am sure you aren't the first person to have this happen nor will you be the last. It will probably be delivered without issues....

most people here only seem to collect recent posters or reproductions so i was wondering what the maxium is that you paid for a poster.

i only collect original posters from the 40's -->80's and i guess the maxium is a bit over 200 $

Yeah, I'm only getting this for decor purposes, nothing more. And of older films. So I don't mind reprints.

For those who have a Michael's in their area, they are running another buy 1, get 1 free on their poster frames. I always get the "Trendsetter" brand and they are very good quality and inexpensive with this sale.

my posters range. They can cost $5 to all the way to past $200. I don't do it as a collector. I do it more as a fan to the genre and movie. Value is not as important to me since I never plan to sell. But if I really love the poster I'll be willing to spend some money for it.

I have been fortunate in that so far the most I have paid for a poster was $300 and that was for my Iron Man 2 Metal Variant by Tyler Stout. With only 65 produced, all etched signed and numbered, it's actually a lot nicer in person, the image below doesn't do it justice. But his print he did for the 2008 screening of The Thing is at the top of my wanted list, but is currently out of my price range at around $2000+ if it can be found.

I love this print. Now it's like 800-1000 I believe.

Yeah I believe it is, not bad seeing that it was released in summer of 2010. The image doesn't do it justice, the reds are much deeper in color.
