Could it have been better? Yes, but it's not an awful movie either.
It's a fun, superhero movie.
If that's how you feel about the movie, then it should be left alone.

Someone make a petition to make every movie ever made subjectively better, and I'll sign that.

No,... a petition to leave old movies alone to the fullest extent... I'll sign that.

Nah, every movie ever made has improvements that can be made. Every single one.

Some have no CGI, others have too much CGI. I WANT EVERY MOVIE TO BE RE-EDITED SO IT'S A CARBON COPY OF ROMERO'S Dawn of the Dead! And then we'll talk about improvements after that

I don't really mind if an alternative cut more or less exists, but I'd rather see studios put their money into restorations of films that do need the work.

X-Men: Origins was just a movie that didn't quite gel (I don't even think it's the worst X-Men feature), it's not The Exorcist, Brazil or Apocalypse Now, there's no fabled cut lying around waiting to be unearthed.

A Fan Edit could fix some of the CGI suggestions.

Why not keep trying from scratch like with the Hulk and Daredevil.

I have to say... I didn't know that. It's been a while and I should work through these movies again but I don't remember any one in particular being bad unless it was maybe one of the wolverine spin offs.

Every movie has flaws. You need to realize that most flaws are not worth the bother, either because the gains are so little or because the entire movie is broken beyond repair.

No, because ORIGINS is the only "weak" link in the X-Men movie franchise. Fixing that, and then you get a perfect franchise. That's it.

And no, ORIGINS is very comic bookish, it's not "broken beyond repair" at all.

Instead of this petition, someone with editing skill should take the parts that work of this film and condense it into a 20 minutes so I can watch it before my re-watches of the original film. All they really need to do is show the awesome opening sequence, and just have the bare minimum to show that he had experiment happened to him and his memories wiped. That would be enough of a tease before we first see him in Canada in the original film.

We all know that "X-Men Origins" is the weak link in the X-Men chain of movies. But we can make them improve it a little bit on future home video re-releases.

So I need suggestions in order to open a PETITION for a new "alternative" version of the movie.

My points so far:

1- Improve/re-do the CGI of the adamantium claws on the "Bathroom Scene".
2- CGI-add blood on Logan during the Weapon X procedure, to make the sequence match the X2 flashbacks in a better way.
3- Better de-aging to William Stryker Jr. during the Vietnam scenes (1973).
4- Change the title of the movie for this alternative version. I suggest "WOLVERINE: ORIGINS".

Any other suggestion or hint? Thank you so much.
If someone from fox actually reads your petition you are going to give them a good chuckle.

There is likely a fan edit already in existence that addresses your points.

Does UniSol GR77 actually enjoy movies? He's constantly clogging up the threads with his frivolous "canon" fan theories to validate continuity errors and other pointless issues in a given film. And here he is today posting something equally as dumb. He needs give up it and realize no one pays mind to anything he says. He's just plain obsessed.
