Default Zombieland- Review thread!

Just came back.

Best.
Zombie Movie.
Ever.

Seriously. words cant express how fantastic this movie was... actually that worked right there. The cast is perfect, and the characters have a lot of depth. The music and audio are great, and the zombie kills are creative. Emma Stone just keeps getting hotter.

Also
[Show spoiler] the scenes at Bill Murray's house were incredible. Woody and Bill dressed as Ghostbusters running around the house is the best thing i have ever seen.

The crowd i was with loved it too. We laughed and cheered and had a great time. For sure a definite pre-order.

Your thoughts?

This movie has replaced Shaun of the Dead as my favorite movie. I have already seen it multiple times which is very very rare for me.

Loved it. Was pleasantly surprised to see how well rounded it was and that it gave its characters the opportunity to become a lot more fleshed out than the typical horror/zombie movie. The cinematography is great and the editing isn't just an editor sitting at a computer playing with effects as the slow downs and camera work actually aid and improve the action. Perfect, perfect casting with the 4 leads. I don't think there was a single intended humorous part that didn't get a laugh from me.

Not much depth here but that doesn't matter as it isn't striving for that just a very, very fun and tight film that never slows down and is entertaining for its entire run time.

I won't spoil it although I think the cat is probably already out of the bag but it probably has the best comedic cameo I've seen in a long time. I was glad I had no idea it was coming so it was even more hilarious than it could have been.

Also, I'm officially in love with Emma Stone. I liked her in Superbad but after the scene with her mowing down zombies with the semi-automatic shotgun I'm totally smitten.

I certainly wouldn't consider this "the best zombie movie ever" (that honor goes to George Romero's original Dead trilogy). Nor would I consider it the best zombie comedy ever (Shaun of the Dead). But it certainly was entertaining as hell. I recommend Zombieland to everyone.

To anyone who hasn't seen this movie yet, I Highly Recommend doing so. it's definitely in my top movies of 09 list (while good not better than Inglorious bastards). The Kills are gorey and original, i was surprised how good the cast was with it being only 4 people, and it's very funny. i thought it was better then Shaun of the dead (even though it made me want to watch that again)

When I was at the Zombieland premier last Friday, the director (Fliescher) told us that originally, this was supposed to be a pilot for a television series, but the studio decided to make it a big production instead. I think it was a great idea, because this is an awesome movie.

I also think it is about time we get a good zombie television series...somewhere.

It would certain help counterbalance all the vampire shows right now.

I was going to say it would have been nice not to know who makes the talked about cameo in the movie, but I guess at least you didn't spoil the scene like Roger Ebert did. He's taking a slight beating over at Rotten Tomatoes for that.

Haha I think a lot of people knew about it before seeing it. His name is on the Imdb page.

True. It's all good. I still can't get over Roger Ebert doing what he did though (I only read like the first sentence and stopped).

I just got back from seeing it and thought it was hilarious and just an all around awesome movie. I'm glad I tend to read nothing about movies I intend on seeing and so I did not know about the cameo. I think I would've been disappointed had I known about it beforehand.
