Talking Noob here, Advice really needed before spending some hard earned cash - PLEASE

Guys I have seen this player I think its a good price.

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec...r/Product.html

I have a couple of questions
1. How future proof is it
2. Will it be ok on my 1080i 42 in plasma

Thanks in advance

(1) This player does not currently handle DTS-HD audio despite what the page says, and will not support profile 1.1 which adds a second video decoder for such things as picture-in-picture capabilities for maybe director commentaries. Otherwise, this player will play all feature movies today and in the future, even with movies that make use of profile 1.1 features.

(2) Yes, it should be fine.

That would be a no-go.

Just like dvd players, Blu-ray players are region coded.
