I'm one of the growing number of users who suffer HDMI incompatibilities between the PS3 and their TV. Therefor, even though I have HDMI, I can't use it properly. I get really nasty banding and a sort of screen-door effect on PS3 menus from HDMI which aren't there in component. I heard of a guy with a new Panasonic projector having the same issues.
I would like to suggest that Sony allow 24fps via Component, if possible, as well as SD DVD upscaling (upscaling being more important for me). Because I have to use the PS3's component out, I lose good upscaling. |
