Did anyone else enjoy this movie? I was fond of it when I watched it last. Would make a good blu ray I think, although no word of it to date.

There was never even a Region 1 DVD released! Can you believe that? It's Ridley Scott for pete's sake!

The import DVDs (mostly from Brazil, I believe) seem to be selling quite well on eBay.

I have been tempted for many years, but just never added one to my collection. I have a multi-region player.... but still.

The title of this thread seriously needs at least a question mark or something. I got all excited that it was being released on Blu-ray or that at the very least there were rumors of a release.

That's right, I think the editions I saw were region 0 if Im not mistaken

This movie was so epic on all levels, I guess all we can do is wait and see

The music composer for this movie was amazing

I have the VHS, laserdisc, and 2 DVD's of it - Region 3 Korean, and the Region 0 Brazilian release. I'm DYING to see this on blu ray. I'm also on a quest to find the teaser, if anyone remembers that. It had Enigma's Sadness playing, but I think there were right's issues, so it never made it to any of the DVD releases. Of course, that teaser may have only played in US theaters, which explains why the other region DVD's don't have it on there. Personally, it's my favorite teaser of all time.

That is good news. I never bought a DVD release as most of them were non-anamorphic or lacked either 5.1 or extras -- apart from the Australian release, but I did not feel like importing that. The Blu-ray release might have a new director's commentary too, and Scott's are usually fascinating. I listened to the one on The Duellists DVD today, and it was fascinating -- one of his best! That is another film that deserves a good Blu-ray transfer.
