Windows 7 Best Media Streaming Settings/Power Settings For PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

I recently got Windows 7 and the default power settings often has the computer sleeping/hibernating, and therefore crippling any consistent media streaming capabilities. Is there a happy medium that allows me to save as much energy as possible, yet stream? I hope it's not an either or, because if it is, I'll just put stuff on the external harddrive, but, I would like all options open. Thanks(it's a wireless).

You do have the ability to customize your own power settings!

Look up PS3 Media Server. The newer beta has an option to prevent sleep mode while streaming.

turn sleep off

control panel > change when the computer sleeps

Use a NAS instead. What are you stream to ?
