It's supposed to be coming out but no official date has been announced yet for it

I have been waiting for thius also. One of my all time faves. This film won an Academy Award for cinematography and I would think it would be absolutley stunning on Bd.

it was showcased in a blu-ray promo as 'coming soon' so good chance we see it before xmas.

It should be a rule that any movie that has won an academy award should be released in blu as soon as possible

I agree on this.
I would love to see movies like The Hours, The Others, Panic Room, Legends of the Fall, Cold Mountain. There are many movies that deserve a Bluray treatment

hehe I've already seen this movie on Blu-ray, I managed to snag an unreleased review copy, it was MPEG2 video and LPCM 5.1 audio (from the early days of Blu-ray), but it was pretty good

I sold it on eBay international about a year ago so maybe it's being circulated around.....

Since Sony has largely abandoned releasing many catalog properties, no one has any idea if this will ever show up on Blu-ray.

Cold Mountain is out in Canada. From what I have read it is a pretty good presentation.

My favorite film.

I'm still amazed this film was advertised when BD first started and here we have it still waiting for this release. I believe it's even missed it's anniversary.

Perhaps we can hope to see this film released in this new Sony "Budget Line".

Just watched it, and it's a very good transfer indeed. The DTS HDMA track is quite spectacular, with plenty of use of the surround channels. There are just a few minor blemishes on the print that was used, but they are hardly noticeable. I would recommend it.

The only downside for some is that it's Region B locked.
