Question Paramount deal theory

Made you look. No, this post does not relate to that.

My question really is, this $150 million that the HD-DVD consortium paid to Paramount - where exactly does it go to? I dont suppose it trickles down to all the employees, and I refuse to believe it goes to cover production costs for HD-DVD and for transferring catalog titles.

My assumption is that it goes into the pockets of the CEOs...yet you'd think they gave up long-term profit for short-term gain.

Oy. I need to go and buy myself some more Blu titles to get over this.

Well they said it was for advertisement to my knowledge. Who knows where it really went. That at least makes it sound like it wasn't a payoff.

CEO's and stock holders. I assume it was just a cash incentive to join the dark side.

I am going to file "Paramount's Sell-out to HD DVD" with "No Transformers on Blu-ray" in the 'Let's Move On' drawer.
