Default WTH is going on with this format war - can someone please advise

Gentlemen,
I recently made a post asking for some advice about investing in Blu-ray, and despite several people advising against it, I made a $7500 investment at $45 and the stock just closed near $50. A representative at Schwab was insisting that this was a great tech stock for Q4, and I did in fact do pretty good so far, but today he is telling me to get rid of it immediately because of what he calls now is a not so bright Q4. I know I didnt take the advice in this forum before, but can someone please provide a factual summary of wth is going on with the hd war. I'm sorry for my indifference to HD in general (i see this is a pretty passionate site), but as a Sony investor now, I would greatly appreciate any factual and not too tech heavy summary of what can be expected at the end of this quarter. I really don't want to be unloading a great stock, nor do i want to be sitting on a bad stock. Thank you in advance.
