Thumbs up SAW I,II,III for only $46.90

I was going to hold off getting them because of Saw I being the theatrical cut and having no extras but to get all three for that price off amazon.com is a steal. They are having a buy 2 get 1 free bluray deal which you can read about on the front page of bluray.com. Freakin' sweet if you ask me, I love those movies.

Maybe I ought to rent one of those.

The poster art work sort of left me ... uninterested. Something about dismembered body parts didn't really leave me with the "I've got to check that out" notion.

Are they worth watching?

I would say give it a rent. I only saw the first one because my friend was going nuts over it. I was blown away and became a fan instantly. I am not one for horror movies at all but the slick directing and awesome musical theme pulled me in. The films are not for the sqeamish so if you can't handle lots of gore, I wouldn't recomend them. Though in my opinion, the storylines are superb as they overlap each other and are told out of order. All three also have great twist endings that you'll scream "NO F***in' way!". The only downside is that Saw I has some crummy acting at times. Not bad all the way through, just a line or two is horrendous but hey the movie was shot in 17 days and on a 1.2 million dollar budget so that's what you get.

The series is pretty gory, but clever too. The premise is unique and the storyline has you going back and forth on who to root for. If you haven't seen it by now, you should give it a chance if you like the twisted and obscene.

It's one of my favorite series in our next-gen age.

I recommend you to wait until Saw IV comes out and buy it then. When the Saw Trilogy comes out buy it on ebay and not retail

Yeah, I was thinking about that. Watch me buy these now and when the Saw IV bluray comes rolling around; a boxset arrives the same day. That's my luck!

The SAW IV Blu is coming 1/22, and no boxset was announced. There probably won't be a boxset until the series is over. And since V and VI are coming, it will be at least a few years.
