Toshiba 62MX195 1080p???

Hello there im looking for some help in this area.

I have purchased a 62MX195 DLP Toshiba TV. Recently I bought a upconverison dvd player that would upconvert dvds to 1080p, the dvd player is The Samsung HD960. So i purchased the unit knowing that the tv (by reading toshibas specs and etc...) is 1080p. So I bring the unit home pulg the device via HDMI. Then i get into the setting of the dvd player. I go to the setup in the dvd player select HDMI and select resolution as 1080p (upconversion), well some how it doesnt take the signal and drops it all the way to 480p. So I try 1080i and it works fine. Thinking that the tv was for sure 1080p and the dvdplayer (upconverison) was a false I didnt worry about it. So I bring the unit back to the store but before doing so ask a worker there to connect this player to a 1080p TV. So he agrees and we find a JVC 1080p television HD-70FH96 and volia without no hesistaion the tv accepts the signal to 1080p via hdmi (upconversion). Amazing. But why wont it work on my DLP 1080p Toshiba 62MX195 TV?

I know it is I have proof because its says so on the box On many different websites But why this???
