I know its all speculation and fan wish. But, what is a realistic opinion on what Warner will do? Will they go blu, HD-dvd, or remain neutral? I don't read a lot of the trades online or in print. But, what seems to be the industry concensus?

I am guessing that they are waiting on the 4th quarter sale which is mainly the Harry Potter series now. If Blu outsells HD-DUD by a large margin I am willing to bet they will become Blu exclusive. If DUD out sells blu-ray then vise versa but that is very unlikely. If they sell even then they will remain neutral...........

I have no doubt WB will be releasing on Blu in 2008. Whether it's exclusively or not, I don't know. Would love to be wrong and pleasantly surprised by a Blu exclusive WB at CES in January. But I'm not holding my breath. |

SA0CD lost all credibility lol was he the one that told us in Sept that was was going exclusive on the 26th? I believe they will go Blu, BD sells better, better copy protection, region codes, and with the exact same features as HD-DVD, (PiP and Ethernet) supperior Bandwidth and Space, the things Warner could do with BD is so much more then they could dream to do with HD-DVD...

If WB go HD-DVD exclusive then Universal and Paramount will dig their heals in deep and the shift will be towards Dual format players.
What possible gain would WB achieve by going for a 30GB future when Sony, Disney, Fox, Lionsgate will all benefit long turn from larger capacity and higher bandwidth? WB must look at the global market and see Blu-ray is already the peoples choice and realize the easy option for everyone is to go Blu-ray exclusive, end the war, end Toshibas suicidal business strategy and allow one format the chance to take on DVD and last the next 10 years plus. |

![]() All indications are that WB will continue to publish in BD (and HD) for the forseeable future, so there's no need to get too worked up or worried based on groundless speculation |
