well on the so easy to see it like being hit in the head with a brick ..
RIGHT NOW THE SALE OF BLU-RAY GAMES IS A MARKET THAT Warner Bros. would not want to ignore selling a Blu-ray Disc at $60.00 THAT THEY WOULD NORMALY SELL A MOVIE FOR $30.00..SELL BOTH AND THATS $90.00 FOR JUST (2) Blu-Ray DISC'S... ![]() About Monolith Productions Monolith Productions, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, is one of North America's largest game development studios. Videogames are an entirely different creature. Warner could go hd-dvd exclusive, but that wouldn't prevent Monolith from making games for the PS3 and 360 or affect their future titles in any way.
At this point, Warner isn't going anywhere. But I think blu's Q4 sales will be the writing on the wall. hd-dvd is already hanging from the cliff by its fingertips. ![]() |

why would they Go HD DVD Exclusive...?, but still MAKE Blu-Ray GAMES...?, THE PROFIT MARGIN IS MORE ON Blu-Ray disc's for Warner Bros. because they can sell blu-ray disc's in more markets than HD DVD, TO TOP IT OFF THEY WOULD LOOSE THAT EXTRA MONEY BY STEPPING down FROM THE BOARD OF directors of the BDA in other markets aside from MOVIES. The only way this would happen if Warner Bros. saw no VIABLE market FOR Blu-Ray even outside of Movies. if they stepped down Warner Bros. would loose money. they have no reason to GO HD DVD exclusive. they would have a hard time explaining that to share holders... ![]() if there is a PAYOUT to Warner Bros. and they refused that payout.Warner Bros. is milking the HD DVD buyer's until its time to quit support to the HD DVD format because they will have taken the time to see if HD DVD can be a viable market. I have in my OPINION if paramount cannot help HD DVD out in any sizeable manner and this fall the HD DVD players can not gain anywhere a sizeable sales boost from low prices nothing will save HD DVD from being absorbed into Blu-Ray, OR DISCONTINUED COMPLETELY. Warner already knows BLU-RAY is makeing money in other markets. but HD DVD is stuck in MOVIE MARKETS that is the only thing it has going for it besides PRICE. this fall is the POINT where HD DVD promotional group has to prove that its more marketable than Blu-Ray OR EVEN AS MARKETABLE AS BLU-RAY ALREADY IS. Which IN MY OPINION HD DVD cannot unless it expands in markets outside of MOVIES but that would mean Microsoft would have to support SOFTWARE BEING INSTALLED ONTO THE HD DVD format that is not just Movie's. were talking about PC software or XBOX SOFTWARE OR support IHD hand CAMCORDER RECORDING etc.. its HD DVD's format war to loose . BLU-RAY has Won. because OUTSIDE OF Movie's Blu-Ray has MARKETS of sales penetration into the MARKET THAT IS UN contested in the HD MEDIA. Blu-Ray was developed just like CD and STANDARD DVD its use is more than just a MOVIE format. its already a standard..hell even look at this the new kid on the block look what they say their format is also USED for BESIDES MOVIES.... EXAMPLE: Gaming The gaming experience is getting more engaging and dynamic with every passing day. The gaming industry is constantly evolving over time with respect to graphics and animations. The demand for greater disc capacity has become an inevitable trend. With the use of VMD, game developers no longer need to compromise or restrain their creativity in fear of running our of space, nor revert to the use of multiple discs that interrupt the flow of the game. Software VMD storage is a boon to software developers. With so much more storage space, using multiple discs is not required. It is convenient to handle, a single disc would make the installation process so much easier; less chances of misplacement or confusion. Companies such as SAP, Microsoft and Oracle would be able to provide their standard or bespoke software on a single disk. http://www.nmeinc.com/applications_software.aspx i find it funny the two OTHER HD formats on the market offer this basic function but HD DVD does not. you can thank Microsoft... ![]() Consumers see this and ask why is HD DVD not being used for software.....? ![]() but Blu-Ray is still being used for software with or without Microsofts support. that's a good thing Blu-Ray is java based.
