SA0CD lost all credibility lol was he the one that told us in Sept that was was going exclusive on the 26th? I believe they will go Blu, BD sells better, better copy protection, region codes, and with the exact same features as HD-DVD, (PiP and Ethernet) supperior Bandwidth and Space, the things Warner could do with BD is so much more then they could dream to do with HD-DVD...

IIRC didn't another member beatboy claim that top level BDA officials were rushing to the BD fest last month to finalize negotiations for WB exclusivity to be announced the next day? And then we heard nothing after that...

All indications are that WB will continue to publish in BD (and HD) for the forseeable future, so there's no need to get too worked up or worried based on groundless speculation

Then it should read "What About Warner Part Deux" (bomb Sadam) Sorry, I just loved that part of the movie... Anyhoo, I can't believe that original thread was so darned long. You would think this subject had already been talked to death already...

What do I think they will do?
Nothing and just sit back and collect money.
What do I wish they would do?
Announce blu exclusivity at CES so this war can end.

Agreed.
The funny thing is that to anyone with a shred of common sense there is not even a question as to which format they will sell more on, just a curiosity as to how much more.

Here's what doesn't make sense:

Assume Warner goes HD-DUD Exclusive. That results in a stalemate and dual-format players become the norm and take off.

Down the road, when blu ray discs cost exactly the same as hd-dud discs and the studios want to pack in more and better content and have region encoding, why would they use the hd-dud disc over a blu-ray disc? It would only make sense then if all studios started to use blu-ray discs to get those features/capabilities. This is of course because since everyone would have dual format players, they could use blu-ray discs and everyone could play them. Therefore, if blu-ray discs would become the disc of choice down the road for dual-format players, why even bother going down a path with hd-dud??? Can't Paramount, Universal, Weinstein, and Warner understand this?

Beatboy isn't that credible either...his information this year on AVS has been inaccurate and flat wrong on more than one occasion...
