Amazon returns question

I placed an order recently that was misplaced by UPS, so Amazon sent a replacement order. I recieve the replacement, but the original items have now been delivered. I am not in town and won't be for some time, therefore I will not be able to return the items for at least a couple months. Does anyone know what their return policy is and if I will be charged again for the items? Thanks

Amazon gives you 30 days from when you requested the replacement to get it back to them. After that they charge you for the replacement item also.

You can file for the return online and print out labels etc. If you have a house mate or neighbor with keys etc, just have them print out the label and put on package then give to mailman.

Agreed. This happens to me frequently--at least once a quarter. If they audit your orders and find that both packages were delivered, they'll charge you for both if the original "missing" order is not returned within 30 days.

What is their return policy for opened Blu-Ray.

I just received "Blade Runner" on Blu-Ray and opened the factory shrink wrap. There were none of those annoying stickers to seal the package. When I opened the case, there were no disks. Grrr. So I set up a return thru Amazon's website. I will mail back my opened case and they are mailing me another "Blade Runner."

Finally, my question... Will Amazon credit me for an opened and empty case? The receipt with the package advised there are no refunds for opened containers but, obviously, I wouldn't know the product was missing if I did not open the container.
