Default Surprised to see Blu-rays at Costco

Stopped by Costco tonight. Saw various titles, mostly $25.99-$26.99:

I, Robot
Hitman
ID4
Mr. Magorium
POTC
No Country For Old Men

and several more

Still a small selection compared to DVDs, but firs time I've seen more than one or two BD titles.

They had a very limited supply of Blu-rays at my local Costo. I have to go tomorrow there, and will check to see if they have expanded their section.

I thought Costco's prices were suppose to be cheaper since you have to pay to be a member?

The Costco stores in my area carried Blu-rays for a few months now, most of the discs were priced around $19, but selection was pretty limited. Normally by the time a title would appear in Costco I already would have bought it elsewhere.

Costco was JUST restocked on tuesday. They are now supposed to get the new releases every week.

And the prices are pretty good.

Ice Age is only 26.99.. for a damn fox title thats hella freaking good.

From what I've seen so far they seem pretty competitive with Amazon's regular prices; the difference is typically ±$1. I got Crank and Lord of War last week for $25.99 each ($26.95 @ Amazon) and I saw Planet Earth for $65.99 ($66.95 @ Amazon). I'm interested now to see what they've gotten since then.

Plus Costco's always mailing out coupon books with $10 coupons for Fox DVDs. I'm hoping we'll soon see a mailer with a BD discount, too.
