I get parents like that in my store once in a while.They will get booze so they can drink and not get the kids anything at all.So i would always let the kid get a pop and candy bar on me.Some people just should not spawn any little ones.Its sad at times :{

I think it's great. Kids today get way too many things and are coddled way too often.

The only people who think it's horrible are the ones who think $300+ Christmas gifts should be the norm. There is no way a kid should receive a $300+ Christmas gift.

Why not?

If the description of the video is accurate and this was a prank because he was snooping, then it's hilarious. I was never the snooping type, but I know it would piss me off if I was trying to surprise someone and they ruined it.

If not, that's a pretty jacked up thing to do to your kid.

Yeah, no kidding. It's as if nobody here or in the YouTube comments read the description.

The kid got the Xbox 360. Settle down, people. When the presents were left out the night before, the kid snuck a peek to see what he was getting. Naughty, naughty! So the parents had a little fun with him by giving him the Xbox box he'd seen but filling it with clothes, but then did later give him the Xbox.

I take back my previous statement of the worst christmas ever. That's the best christmas ever. He learned a lesson, was made fun of, and still got his toy... aren't parents wunderbar?

The video is funny as hell, but my heart went out to that kid. I think they let it go a little too long. As a father of three, I'm well aware of what traumatic experiences can do to your kids (esp. psychological development) and even though he got the Xbox 360 in the end, the emotional turmoil was evident on his face. He may have been happy with the video game, but his perception of his parents is probably forever tainted. Poor little guy.

it is true kids have anythin they want now! even the families that live on the state seem to be able to buy the nice expensive clothes and ps3's/wii/360 for their kids! im only 22 and when i was younger i wouldnt get gifts that expensive! now kids expect like £500 - £1000 spent on them for christmas!

ROFL! We all need to chip in and buy this kid a PS3. I'd donate a dollar.

No kid should receive an xbox, ps3, or wii for any kind of gift. Make them work for it.
