The thing that got my attention about that MCE was the $699 price! LaCie announced a Mac compatible BD burner not too long ago and their's is $1149!

The MCE is internal while the LaCie is external and includes Mac and PC software.

Toast 8, which supports Blu-ray on OS X can be purchased for only $79.99, so it's still a bargain for the MCE. LaCie's are always a bit pricey. I should know, I own a couple of them.
