Dungeon Siege any good?
I know it's Boll, but heard this one is not too bad. Would like to see Postal though! Lady Vengeance, just bought the Tartan release half a year ago, along with Oldboy, Sympathy for Mr Vengeance and Tetsuo. Wouldn't mind getting any of these on BD. Severance was very good, saw it at the 2007 Hawaii International Film Fest, will pick this one up at some point. Highlander... uhm, dunno! I just borrowed Season 1 from a friend and it is sooooo cheesy. The acting is quite bad, I wish I would've enjoyed it more as I remember really liking the show back in the 90s when it first aired! Born to Fight might be a rental at bests for me. I cannot really get into those films. I have Ong Bak, only watched it once, very cool stunts and action, but a bit weird. Saw Tom Yum Goong also at the HIFF, the staircase scene is incredible, but the rests was a bit boring. Anyone ever hear of a movie called One Nite in Mongkok? I would like to get a hold of that one on BD! |

It's also really annoying at how expensive BD's are in Europe. Sales are also very rare. I just wish that some distributors start releasing actual German films. I wish German films were more popular in Germany/Austria/Schweiz. It seems like they only really like Hollywood action films. Last edited by Mermen79; 03-30-2008 at 09:00 AM. |

![]() My Netflix rented movies list is about 1500 strong (since 2002). I love to watch movies and when I get a chance I will do so, which to me is the best way of relaxing after a stressful workday. And yes, Boll's movies suck a**!!! However I want to see what Postal is all about, gotten quite some publicity for its "content". I wish German movies would be more popular period. At least in the last couple of years there have been some higher end productions instead of all the cheesy made for TV or wanna be action flicks that were produced especially in the 90s. There is definitely a demand for it, it just seems to be hard to find a capable director and good actors with what little money they get with the help of different German "Filmstiftungen". I just got Sophie Scholl in the mail and can't wait to watch it, heard a lot of good things about the movie. |

Don't know about the prices of these, but if they are priced like most BDs in Europe, I sure won't buy any of them. Amazon France is selling BDs in the 25-30 euro range (up to about 50$!). So far all my BDs, with one or two exceptions, are import.

But you're right 30 Euros is way too much. The only imports I would get are foreign language movies as the US lacks in releasing them either in a timely manner or at all! |
