Exclamation HD-Audio not Displayed on Reciever

If the ps3 decodes Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD internally and outputs via pcm how would you really know if your listening to it if the reciever doesnt light it up on the display?? Or do I have to buy the ES Series Standalone just see the logos light up?

The logos will never light up if the player is doing the decoding.

I think a mod should start a thread becuase there's going to be a lot of question ask why our avr isn't displaying the HD logos.
If you're ps3 is doing the decoding then your avr will not display the HD logos.
I do have a question, can you set your avr to do the decoding and display the logos?

As we know, the PS3 will NEVER output sound in bitstream. With the PS3, the sweet and beautiful logos of DTS-HDMA and DolbyTrueHD will sadly never know.

If you turn the bitrate meter on your PS3 it will tell you what audio track you are listening to like DTS-HD MA.
