Did he talk about the ongoing lawsuit and potential countersuit with Blue Jeans Cable Company?

That would have been interesting.

To the OP - cool for you, but I'm certainly no Monster fan. Trying on and off to convince my father that they're no good now.

Wow. Very interesting read. I look forward to seeing how this develops (and I just might be sure to make my next cable purchase from Blue jean)

I thought of the exact same letter when I first read this thread a few moments ago. The last few paragraphs are priceless

They make $100+ on a cable that cost 70 cents to make, and all you get it a T-shirt and some stickers...

I LOL on this too.

It's sad but true. They do make a great product. it's just the mark-up is killing the consumer. $150 for a HDMI wire is just insane. I'll never forget a friend telling me he bought an Sony upconverting DVD player (this was a couple of years ago) for $200 and a Monster HDMI wire ($150). He was going on and on about how good it looked on this 52" Sony Rear Projection

Anyway, to make a long story short I brought to his house one of my monoprice $2.79 HDMI wires. We hooked it up and saw no difference at all.....not even the slightest difference. He could not even believe he wasted that much money on a cable. We went to best buy that night to return the wire.

I bet that box of Kleenex has about the same production costs as a Monster cable.
