Default Which Movies Have You Changed Your Mind About?

I'm watching Die Hard With a Vengeance on BD. I remember really disliking this movie in the theater and now I've come to really enjoy it.

Which movies have you changed your mind about? Either you didn't like it originally and now you do, or vice versa.

Interview With a Vampire - Hated it the first time, really liked it the second.

Star Trek Generations - Liked it the first time, now it's very difficult to watch.

I hated Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead men's chest when I first saw it in theater, and now guess what? I still hate it. Surprising, huh. Terrible movie.

Used to really like Face/Off, but now not so much after getting it on Blu-Ray after months of waiting. However, it was pretty funny seeing the stunt guys who looked nothing like Cage and Travolta during the boat chase scene, check that out if you haven't seen it already.

Mulholland Dr. ( I did not have the 10 clues) I absolutly hated it the first time I saw it, I actually turned it off. I finished watching it and remember thinking I want 2.5 hrs of my life back. The movie was so well reviewed that I decided to give it another chance the second time I watched it I did not really like it that time either. Then I went on the net found David Lynch's 10 clues for Mulholland Dr rented it again I got a little more of it began to appriciate it. I watched it four more times and now it is my favorite movie of all time. I still don't know if I get every little nuaunce that David Lynch put in the but it has to be the movie I have put the most thought into.

I saw Independence Day opening night and loved it(it's still the only movie I've ever attended where the audience stood up and clapped in unison at the end). After watching it a couple of times on home video I realized how bad it really was. I couldn't even bring myself to buy the Blu-ray.

I have to agree with you on that one. I have a hard time watching 10 seconds of it now, let alone the whole movie.

I didn't understand Eyes Wide Shut the first time I saw it. But the more I watch the film, the more that I enjoy it with every viewing!

I hated Star Trek: Generations to death! No wonder Malcolm McDowell received death threats from obsessed Star Trek fans after his character killed Captain Kirk (William Shatner). I'll tell you this, Dotpattern, when all the Star Trek movies make their way to Blu-ray, I'll have every one of them EXCEPT for "Generations"!

You'll even get The Final Frontier? You just made me think that the only thing that would get me to buy Final Frontier on BD is if Paramount allowed Shatner to edit his director's cut. I think I'd be curious enough.

As for Generations, when it first came out I definitely had Next Generation rose colored glasses on. The show stayed great through its final season and had just received an Emmy nomination for Best Dramatic TV Series, and I just wanted so much for the movie to be great I justified every bad moment.

I really was dissapointed with 10,000 b.c. in theaters, but after watching on bluray, I really enjoyed and will eventually buy it. I think it has definate replay value for me. I dont care what any review or critic says about it, I liked it.

A lot of films I saw at a younger age and were bored to tears with(ie A Passage To India),I really enjoy now that I'm older and have a greater attention span!

As far as "The Final Frontier" goes, Dotpattern, I could take it or leave it. The special effects in the movie were poorly executed, and Shatner didn't retain all the humor-filled factors that Leonard Nimoy's "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" had in lieu of a darker film. But like I said, I could take it or leave it when it comes to "The Final Frontier". After all, I am a completionist.

Other than the effects being dimestore quality,I've always rather enjoyed V.Would have been nice to see a TMP type restoration.

I'm pretty good about not watching a movie again after I didn't like it.

I hated this one in the theater, then after it released on VHS all those years ago I rented it and it grew on me so I bought a copy. I watched it not too long ago on cable or something, and now I hate it again.

Also didn't care for National Treasure 2 in the theater, but this one has grown on me after watching it on blu.
