Matching a Receiver to a Panny DMP-BD10A - Blu-ray Forum

First time posting-I have the Panny DMP-BD10A and the Polk RM6750 speakers. The player internally decodes many HD audio formats. I have an older Yamaha receiver without HDMI and want to upgrade. Thinking about Onkyo 606...any suggestions.

Sounds like a great plan. Good receiver for the price.

Nearly any receiver will fit the bill since you have a Blu-Ray player with 7.1ch analog outs. Use those, and cheap receiver and you'll still get your TrueHD, DTS-HD, and PCM without an HDMI receiver.
