Default Folding@home issues

I've been using folding@home with no issues until today. For some reason, the PS3 cannot upload the finished fold. It goes really slowly, gets to the end of the progress bar after 20 minutes or so, then fails. I've been trying for several hours. I restarted my PS3 a few times, reset my router and nothing has changed. Anyone else ever been faced with this problem?

It sounds like you don't have a wireless connection between your router and the PS3. Can you connect to the internet via the browser? If not, check your network settings and make sure you are grabbing an IP address from the DHCP server on your router. If you have WEP or WPA enabled, make sure those IDs match up.

If you can connect to the internet via the browser, your folding@home code is probably corrupted. That means you or someone else probably turned the PS3 off in the middle of saving your folding data. In that case, reinstall the 1.60 firmware and that should straighten everything out.

Well, FYI, I've got 12 computers folding at my university, and at least one of them was having problems getting data today at the end of a work unit (possibly others were, too, but I don't know). I think something wasn't working right on their end. I had to switch it from deadlineless to default deadlines. Now it's fine, after a full restart. I don't think what I did fixed it, though.

If it was a group of people, then it is the folding@home server.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that I can connect to the PS Store and use the web browser. I just did a reinstall of Folding and it still doesn't seem to be uploading. I guess I'll just let my PS3 rest a few days and try it again.

I have this problem every once in a while. I just quit the folding application and then open it back up again and it usually goes ahead and uploads. Though if you are not around when it happens it seriously delays your folding.
