Default Viegas {CIH 2.35} Digital Cinema

Some of you may have already seen these photos but I figured I would explain how the room was constructed.

The room itself is 24'11'L x 13'10"W x 7'8"H

The walls are staggered studed Double Drywall w/Green Glue, 1" Knauf acoustic a bit passed halfwall and the rest is batting

The stage is built on top of Acoustik Mat and filled with about 4700lbs of sand all decoupled about 1.5 inches from exterior walls.

The riser is just filled with insulation and behind the screen is treated with 2" knauf acoustik and bass traps in the corners. The inside of the bulk head is also treated aswell to make them bass traps

The carpet is made by mohawk it's called {Highrise Retreat} Color {Ebony Polish} in the picture it looks black on grey but in real life it is black on black

Front speakers and subs are behind the screenwall, the 4 surrounds are in the back columns

Seating is: {Berkline 075 power recline}

Equipment for the room is:
120" 2.35 Acoustic SMX Screen
Sony VPL-VW60 Projector
Panamorph UH380 Anamorphic Lens
Panamorph MTH1 Transport
Klipsch KL-650-THX L/C/R x3
Klipsch KS-525-THX rears and sides x4
Definitive Technology Supercube trinity subwoofers x2
Velodyne SMS-1 Bass Management
Pioneer Elite SC-09TX Receiver
Pioneer Elite DV-79AVi DVD Player
Pioneer Elite BDP-05-FD Bluray Player
Toshiba HD-A1 HD-DVD Player
xbox360
Playstation 3
Nintendo Wii
Monster HTPS7000 Power Center
Monster AVS2000 Voltage Regulator
Pronto Professional TSU9600 Remote
Pronto RFX9600 RF Remote Extender

View From Back Row {Closest picture to the real shade of red in the room}

Looking back at the room from the stage

Walking into the room

Projector with Lens Setup

Equipment Rack

Remote

I will post pictures of the equipment / Media room when it is completed.
Thanks for looking and enjoy

Default damn nice HT !! (I hate you!) lol

wow, love the color scheme, the seating (stadium like), the Huge 120" screen and how you don't See the speakers up front . very clean. well, except for the DVD "stacking" (?! lol) technique. I'm sure you're days away from a nice clean rack. let me guess: Black? ;-)

Awesome!!

Awesome!!
Actually the media room is going to be Charcoal grey walls with white trim, doors and wall shelves for the DVD's/Blurays. Most likely about a week or 2 from being completed due to other commitments.

Thanks for the compliments

dual trinities...... that's gotta be an experience!

What was the room? Was it a completely separate addition? Surely it's not above a garage

Was this a basement space?

looks great.

Not as expensive as you might think, All work was done by myself and 2 friends...

I got excellent deals on all the equipment after lots of research and built it over the course of 21 months. 1 year in planning and about 9 months in construction.

All in all though I'd say it could have been built in a 6 week - 2 month period if I had the funds all at once

Beautiful. And I appreciate the description (like the Mohawk carpet). I'll have to look into it, that's cool stuff.

Beautiful theater. I love your color choices and the gear as well. I always wanted that SMS-1, I hear it is an easy piece of equipment to use. I bet it sounds incredible in there.

Please feel free to rate my gallery as well, as I would appreciate any comments from someone with your obvious knowledge.
