What percentage of your collection is Blu? - Blu-ray Forum

Hey All

Last night, I did a little inventory of my DVD collection. I've been collecting for about a year and a half, and I finally decided to see how much of my collection are Blu-Rays.

Well, strictly confining it to just to the movies, I figured out that 42% of my collection is Blu.

Have any of you guys done the math as well?

I would say about 80% of my movie collection are blus!!
But that will go up when I can replace my DVD with the
blu-ray version!!

0% for now. All I have is my PS3 and HDTV. (Can't afford to buy movies)

I would say 96% of my collection is bluray. I sold all my dvd's on ebay! The only dvd's I have are the lord of the rings extended films.

Well I have about 90 BR's, 600 DVD's, 25 VHS's

What's a VHS?

A couple years ago I packed all but one of my VHS tapes into a box, and they've since disappeared.

The one I kept was this special Wizard of Oz tape, where the front of the box was a book.

I've gotten rid of probably more than half of my DVD collection, since I got my blu ray player. I've only kept my favorite movies that aren't out on blu yet (Gladiator, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc.), and others that I don't feel will benefit from upgrading to blu ray (mostly comedies). If I had to put a percentage on it, I'd say about 50%.

Out of my entire movie collection, less than 10% is Blu at the moment. That wil change in the coming year!

Like 95% dvd's look and sound so bad on my set up the only dvd's I have are series collections like Bsg and Xfiles.

I have about 25-30 BDs (I don't really keep track of such things), and probably ~250 DVDs, so about 9-11%.
