Default Mexico Trilogy (El Mariachi · Desperado · Once Upon a Time in Mexico)

This would be so awesome to have these on BD.

an unrated cut of Desperado would be ultra cool!

I like Desperado and Once Upon a Time... but I couldn't really get into El Mariachi that much. I don't know if it was because the different actors or not. They should all look good on blu hopefully.

Default More Robert Rodriguez Please!!

For sure! The Mexico Trilogy should be available ASAP!! I want to add that I actually saw El Mariachi when it came out and loved it and have only continued to enjoy the series since. Rodriguez wrote an excellent book called "Rebel Without a Crew" that details what he went through (including volunterring his body for medical testing) to get his movie made for something like 20,000 or some ridiculously low amount.

I've got so much respect for the guy! His commentary tracks and bonus features are always fascinating and very generous and he always sense a great message to aspiring artists which is to stop THINKING about creating something and to go out and MAKE something!

So yeah, bring these out along with the Spy Kids trilogy and The Faculty and I'll be a happy guy!

I would like to see Desperado on Blu Ray.

But no announcements at all?

The sound mix on the DVD was one of the best DD 5.1. Listen to the wood splinter and gun shots!
Fun movie too.. would like to hear in lossless mix.

Wouldn't this be incomplete not to wait for the upcoming "Machete" full-length???

Not in "Mexico" per say...but I sure am hoping this is on par if not better than "Once Upon a Time..."

Machete has nothing to do with the Mexico Trilogy

It's not part of this film series, and is being released by a different studio. I don't see the need to wait.

I guess I was going with how Danny Trejo & Cheech seem to be different characters in every Rodriguez flick. And the whole over-the-top knife weilding aspect reminiscent of Danny's and Selma Hayek's roles in 2 & 3 respectively...
All getting that Rodriguez Film School look!

And there's no denying the same hispanic dominated cast/storyline for Machete...but I hear ya!

To me they'll go together like cake, ice cream, T&A, and explosions!!!
