Default PlayUSA blus canadian?

Just got:

King Kong
Body of Lies
Into the Wild

on Blu from Playusa;

However since the packaging is both in English and French I'm assuming they are Canadian discs!

Are the discs exactly the same as their American counterparts?
I friggin hope so

They should be, unless it's an Alliance release. They are usually bare bones.

Yeah, I've used them before - first time this has happened,

As long as they are the same discs inside I'm ok!

Shame about the french packaging though

Be carefull with Canadian Disney Blu's as the audio options are not always the same and they may not be BD-Live enhanced, if you're able to take advantage of that in your territory. My recent Pinocchio from PlayUSA isn't BD-Live, unlike the US version, and I'm set up to use it on my Region A player. Doh!

Yes, Playusa sell Canadian stock, have done for a long time. They do however seem to be giving the option with the new T2 disc, to order the US version.

PlayUSA indacted that they PLAY in the USA. Canadian discs do in fact play in the USA, it seems to me that the name is a perfect truth.

If the name was "OriginallyDistributedUSA" you may have a point.

That's a good point to have made. ALL Canadian and USA releases will play on any PS3 or standalone sold in either country.

I lived in the UK up to 2002 - and used Play.com to import R1 DVDs regularly -and from memory they were seemingly always Canadian imports. Although I'm pretty sure the cases weren't always necessarily bilingual - i wonder if that was something that came in later?

Anyway, my question here is about using Play.com or PlayUSA.com in Canada (where I've been since 2002) - it doesn't say anything about using the site from Canada - even though it can list prices in Canadian Dollars.

Anyone any idea?
