I cant wait for the day Dead Space 2 comes out....

Dead Space was probably the best horror type game ive played since Silent Hill 2.. or Fatal Frame..lol

I second this. I was disappointed about the Wii game exclusive, but I'm not a fan of rail shooters anyway. I like the whole setup for the game also. The animated comics, movie, website, etc. I haven't seen a better put together 'package' for a game.

Yeah, allegedly DS 2 is coming out late this year. We will see if that is still the case in a few months. Dead Space was truely one of the best games I have ever played.

Just started playing Dead Space. It is INDEED very cool. Still getting used to the controls and learning how to use the different features. A DS2 would be great.

Just to be clear, Dead Space 2 is a Wii exclusive.

I think it's going to be awhile before we see anything good in this genre, Dead Space and RE5 have set the bar pretty high.

are you sure? i know fatal frame is now a wii exclusive, but i didnt think dead space 2 wwas gonna be. to the op, the only thing thats even close to a survival horror coming out might be heavy rain.

Heavy Rain isnt supposed to be a survival horror game, more of a adventure thriller if anything...

IIRC, Wii is getting a Dead Space spin off and Dead Space 2 is rumored to be going to the PS3 and 360, as it should. Dead Space is a superb game, if you haven't played it, go play it now.

I have to agree. I rented Dead Space last week, and it was a stellar production, above my expectations (which were already quite high with the game's reputation).
I had heard it was fairly short, and it kinda is (not 6-8 hours horror story though), but those 12-15 hours of game were really -really- good. And then I guess that trophies and harder difficulty settings give it more longevity

The Dead Space game for the Wii is a prequel. Dead Space Extraction will chronicle the initial finding of the artifact and what happened when it was transported on board.

There is a sequel in the works. The sequel will be for the 360 and PS3.

i think all that says is extraction is the prequel made for the wii. ps3 and 360 wont be getting extraction, but a new game all together. i read before there was talks about a hollywood movie made to bridge the gap between first dead and and dead space 2 for the ps3 and 360.

I was looking for the link I posted in another thread, looks like mods deleted it.

It basically said EA games realized how much of the story was untold in Dead Space and decided to do a prequel instead of a sequel and as part of their new commitment to other consoles, decided to make it a Wii exclusive.

You don't have to believe me though, Dead Space is my fav game hands down and I spent 3 hours googling it and couldn't come up with squat

If you really want to go back, RE3/Nemesis wasn't survival horror either.

Yeah, I don't know of any upcoming PS3 SHs. I think that "I Am Alive" has been postponed indefinitely, and that was the only upcoming one I was aware of..
