best survival horror game? - Blu-ray Forum

I am in need of something fun to play right now! I want something under twenty dollars and something like the Resident Evil Series. Maybe Silent Hill but I can never find them near me. any suggestions?

Siren for the PS2 was pretty good.

It is a puzzle / stealth / horror game, played through the eyes of several different characters. It is very heavy on the Japanese style, but because of that it makes the game that much better.

It didn't get a very good review score, and is not for everyone but it is worth a shot.

The game is $28.79 new from amazon.com.

The original one is actually pretty scary for a PSOne game. I hope Konami would remake it for the PS3 down the road. That game is simply too good not to be remade.

How about the Fatal Frame series? That's gotta be one of the freakiest games I've ever played. I'm pretty sure you can find part 1 for cheap these days.

Siren 2 on the PS2 was even better. And they had an option for Japanese language/English subs. They improved the game play a lot too. Combat was better.

I should probably check out Siren 2 then. The horrible voice acting of the first one really put me off on trying to play through it. Though the PS3 version is looking pretty awesome.

silent hill 5 is coming out next year and so is resident evil 5. The creators of silent hill 5 said they are putting in mega bosses like zelda has.

Out of all the ones i've played I enjoyed Doom 3 the most.(PC Version)
Prey was kinda fun as well.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for the GameCube is my favorite survival horror game. I'd highly recommend it if you have a GameCube or a Wii.

RE 5 was the game I bought the PS3 for and I need something for this year since it wont be out till March 10th next year! AH! I just need something to last me till MGS4! That'll hold me over!

If they bring that out on BD I'm buying, heard rumors it's only on PSN though.
