Default Best tray loading Blu ray player

criteria

1.Has to be able to PCM and Bitstream
2.Doubles as a SACD player
3 Easy to update

I would prefer it to be a Sony for about $ 400 -500

I have a PS3 I am worried about my disks getting scratched when I put them in the machine am I being a worry wart?

I understand your concern - I too am not a fan of the slot-loading mechanism on the PS3. However, I've had one since November of 2006, and not a single Blu-ray disc (or DVD) has ever gotten scratched from it - and I am very anal about checking for scratches.

I don't have an answer for your question about best tray-loading one, and I don't intend to discourage you from getting one if that's what you truly want. I just felt I'd offer my take on the PS3 since we seem to have similar concerns when it comes to disc protection.

I have some 70 disks and I have only noticed a tiny scratch on one Blu Ray disk. I think I am getting to anal about it my self. Just have to be extra careful putting disks in. PS3's don't scratch disks or else we would have heared about it and millions of people would have complained, and I doubt I would ever scratch the disks up as much as some of the rental disks I have seen, holy cow.
