This thread says that they'll either just email you the new password, or ask your b-day and country first, and then have you change it. Either way it seems pretty simple. hopefully you can avoid the hassle of sony customer service this way

Thanks guys - I woke this morning and decided to click on Shin-Ra link first and it let me change my password (it did have a verification question that I don't remember setting - but, of course, I knew the answer). I was worried about deleting the password and then getting some strange verification question and not answering it correctly - then losing my saved password.

Yes, I have actually answered a verification question before - I forget the circumstances, but it has happened.

Shin-Ra's link was a safer way to do that in this case.

your welcome, sorry i could not respond earlier (all the isp servers were down in my town)
but either way is fine even if you do it on the ps3 your password will not be deleted. I forgot to mention I tried it before I told you.

Ooooooh, haha. Well, all is good now - and my PSP works with it.

Now, if I could only remote play Warhawk I'd be all set!
