There are 2-3 Jessica Chastain movies I haven't seen, but of the rest of her filmography I can't say that any of them are even close to "bad."

...so I'll definitely check out her filmography on IMDB (if you have any specific suggestions I'd be more than willing to give them a try), but as a general rule, choosing films by the director has always worked out well for me. Of course there are always exceptions.

Yeah, I don't necessarily even disagree with you. I've seen all of David Fincher's films and all of Christopher Nolan's films (other than Follow) and I don't think there's a bad one in the combined bunch.

As to Chastain, I think that Interstellar, Zero Dark Thirty, Salome, Tree of Life are all excellent.

I can"t commit to an actor or actress this way. Anyone can be in a bad movie (or at least a movie that I won't like).

Directors would be Fincher and Nolan. They haven't let me down yet.

(I have not seen Gone Girl or Interstellar yet.)

Jackie Chan is probably the only person for me who fits the topic.

Unless you count Yoda...
