Personally, I loved it. If I hadn't read the book I would have been even more interested. You're introduced to a new cast of characters and a new sector. It did a great job of depicting the side of war many people don't see. If they had tried to make it one movie, it just wouldn't have worked. There wouldn't have been time to understand what Katniss was feeling. It would have been rushed to the finale and the characters would have been flat.

You're older I'm guessing "those darn youngsters!" Well I think this 2+ hour look into Katniss emotions and psyche was nothing new compared to CF. We already knew she was a reluctant hero. We already knew she was traumatized. We already knew she had begun to really fall for Peta and only cared about saving him and her loved ones, and never really cared to be the leader of the rebellion. None of that was new information. CF presented all of these things and so did the original with cinegraphic perfection, all while never messing with the pacing of the movie.

Maybe had the movies not made any of that clear previously this would've been a more enjoyable movie.

I'm listening to the radio. And they just mentioned Jen on the radio as a unlikely pop star. Talking about how well The Hanging tree is doing. And in how many countries it's shot to #1 on iTunes. And are releasing a radio version it

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, my next phone will be a phablet so I can stop using both a tablet and a phone and just have one portable device for anything. Look forward to putting digital copies of the entire 4 film saga on it in 2016.
