Not so bad. Quick approximate tally is only $318!!! That's INCREDIBLE for me, you have no idea. See I cut WAY, WAY back on spending this year. My finances didn't take too sharp a drop but I mainly buy films that I'll watch with friends and my backlog is incredible, so why buy more? So between May or June and September, all I bought was The Winter Soldier. Then nothing again until Guardians. I did minimal Black Friday purchases. All I've bought between Guardians and now is 2 seasons of Spartacus, TNG Season 7, The Great Escape (for a mere $6), HTTYD 2, and Sherlock Season 3. I guess you could say I also bought Planet Earth, but that was a gift

Holding off was also nice because I got Arrow: Season 2 and X-Men: DOFP as gifts from friends.

I have a $50-60 per-week spending limit on media and such in general. I rarely buy music or video games anymore, so I would guess most of that went toward blu ray this year (or the odd DVD).

Doing the math, $60 times 52 weeks is a bit over $3,000. I would guess $2,500 is accurate, taking away games, music and weeks where I spent less for whatever reason. That's quite a lot of money!
