I've no big issue with scalpers since I've got my copy.

However, I'll howl with laughter if tomorrow somewhere in the world gets a super deluxe version released at a fraction of the price, essentially killing profiteering on the TT title. Unlikely though it is.

A couple months ago, I picked up the German release just to make sure I got a copy of the film. I was able to get a copy of the new release, thankfully. I can't believe it sold out so quickly, but then I see that it's already on eBay. Some people, I swear.

I should relist my original release copy on ebay. And since I'm a consumer and not a scalper, you can be damned sure that I won't gouge the hell out of people.

Put your money where your mouth is and order from TCM next time (a company that doesn't scalp rare releases).
They are sold to them from other filmscore fans who mainly bought them before they went OOP and then possibly don't like them any longer etc. I've ordered from SAE for near 15 years and I like that I can trust their listings for OOP CD scores. I have been a member of filmscoremonthly.com message boards forever and the collecting of film score CDs is a niche market and are very happy with SAE. Most of the film score community buy sale and trade from SAE, Intrada, LaLaLand records, Buy Soundtrax etc as another option aside from Ebay.

I always list my items via auction, not a set price. If people want to bid higher for an item that I'm selling, more power to them. If it sells for retail price, I'm fine with that too.

Would anyone ever trade their copy of this new release for another standard Twilight Time title, or do they 'expect' something of more value(maybe double or triple the $30 retail price) in return? Trade this for some box set they are looking for? I am curious to what people think.

What I personally find 'repugnant' is the amount of people on this board gloating how many copies they've bought and like obsessed weasels monitor the remaining quantity, yet when they get their copy they probably don't even watch it and just sell it off anyway. With such a trend surrounding certain (not all) twilight releases, I do fault their business model more than these dweebs who f it up for those who genuinely wanted to get this movie.
It's hard to blame people for buying at elst one extra because it does guarantee that you get your copy for free. I didn't do that however I did sell my old copy of the original 3000 the second I heard a rumor about it being released. Made 130 and set aside 35 of it for the new Fright Night.

That was quick. I wonder how many of the 5,000 will end up on ebay.

Which they won't mind one bit. Free exposure and it adds perceived value to their brand. The imposed 3 copy per person limit is actually a marketing gimmick and encourages people to buy more than one, so they know what's up.

Yeah, one copy to watch, one to keep sealed as a collectible and one to flip to pay for the other two. It's a perfect limit.

Check your order history to see if it shows one or two orders.

I had the same issue when I placed an order with them a few months back,I called screen archives and they said it sometimes happens with PayPal orders
Nearly missed out on The Blob as the order was duplicated and they cancelled all copies ordered,I only ordered two,one for myself and a friend but it became four due to the duplication so they cancelled them all!!
I only use a credit card on their site now,no issues since.

So where does this rank in Twilight Time's fastest sellouts? I know Christine lasted 7 hours, Fright Night 30th AE was like, what, 54-55 hours?
