Since I've seen some people STILL speculating about The Fisher King, let's put that to rest with this confirmation from Terry Gilliam himself...(via The Hollywood Reporter)

Well, I've seen it once and I felt the same way as you did the first time.
Not sure if I should see it again to re-evaluate.

Moonrise Kingdom (the house)
The New World (the ship)
Speedy (the man running - Harold Lloyd)

-----

The suns have been debated as being The Before Trilogy or Two Days, One Night. The cloud is still not certain but it seems possible it is Clouds of Sils Maria.

Lastly, we have what appears to be the man from The Merchant of Four Seasons pushing a cart from Ugetsu, a girl in an eerily similar position as Nausicaä from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, a pyre or blood splatter spot that could be alluding to The Passion of Joan of Arc, and a rose, which could be a number of things.

And all of this in boxed inside of a window. The setting has never been of importance, but many like to think it's A Room with a View.
While I would love The Before Trilogy, it seems more likely that it is Clouds of Sils Maria. And hoping that both Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind abd The Passion of Joan of Arc are the hints here, I'd love to have both... and glad I held of on the MoC release of The Passion of Joan of Arc just in case.

I know it's a reach, but the soldiers in the sketch remind me of Far from the Madding Crowd. Maybe the group with the knives is the "madding crowd"...although that has nothing to do with the film itself. Anyway, it would be nice to have more Stamp and Bates on blu.

I thought about Far from the Maddening Crowd also but figured it would have been a WB title but IMO it would be one I could see them loaning out since Criterion could sell the title far better than they could. I still can't believe we don't have titles like Death in Venice and Blow Up not out on BLU. WB holding onto them unreleased doesn't help them at all. Those are titles that would be far more beneficial to license out for all involved.

I'm looking forward to Death in Venice too.
I remember a French release had been announced long ago, but it seems it was cancelled.

It gives meaning and substance to the characters by exploring their lives from their past, mainly revolving around the main character, Cheryl Strayed, who is a real life person this film is based upon. The scenery was great, as it was shot in Oregon. It was a very moving story.
Thansk for the review. It's funny, I knew Laura Dern was in the movie, but forgot Reece was in it... Hoping I Can see it here soon before it leaves. These types of movies tend to leave quick, you know, non-Michael bay. Ha!

Ahhh...I thought it was MGM. I can never figure that out. Maybe they still can work something out with WB given Criterion's handling of other Schlesinger and Roeg films.

Looking at the rose newsletter clue, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this.

It's Paramount, but who knows? I'd rather it be Daniel Mann/Burt Lancaster/Anna Magnani/Tennessee Williams than Bette Midler, no offense to the the divine Miss M.

I keep staring at that house/city/mansion/whatever, and it seems to me there's something in front of it ... almost like a square longhorn cow without a tail ... I don't really know how to describe it, but it I can't seem to take my eyes of it.

I think he was referring to Lady Snowblood. The scene you're referring to was an homage to this film.

Going away the 2015 clues for second - watched The Grand Budapest Hotel last night and was pretty disappointed. I'm not sure why this (or Moonrise Kingdom) got such high praise, I don't think those movies go anywhere that Wes Anderson's earlier movies didn't. With Hotel, we now have three Anderson movies in a row with escape/chase scenes. :O

Just in case anyone was doubting the house and moon in the back is for Moonrise Kingdom, this pic of the house looks pretty much geometrically identical to what's being shown in the drawing

I agree it has to be Moonrise Kingdom otherwise it will be forever before we get a Criterion for Grand Budapest Hotel.

Anybody see George Roy Hill's A Little Romance (1979)? The plot includes a rendezvous under a bridge at a pre-determined time.. Could the clock under the bridge reference this movie?

The 'pyre' is the toughest clue. An IMDB keyword search turns up a few possibilities amongst 84 films:
