Dear Kino Lorber,

[Show spoiler]

I love this movie, and I'm excited about upgrading my old Midnite Movies DVD.

If Kino does a great job on this title and Tales Of Terror and The Premature Burial and The Crimson Cult, I think it's fair to say we're being spoiled.

2015 is looking good!

This is one of those movies I've been meaning to watch for over 20 years now, it was referenced in basically every single horror/sci-fi movie book I've ever read and is frequently called a minor classic of the genre. I just never got around to it. Will definitely blind buy it, even though I've heard the ending described tons of times

I love this new trend of releasing classic genre movies, I'm way more interested in this than the dreck Shout has been releasing outside of the Vincent Price movies. It looks roughly like Shout just picked up all the 80s and newer stuff (and a few really shlocky older things like Reptilicus and Food of the Gods) from MGM and Kino got the older, more classic stuff? I hope these things sell well, I'd love them to do more of the Hammer movies (if they could get Quatermass 2/Q and the Pit I'd be in heaven!) and more of the Amicus stuff.

Another one of my B-movie favorites! I'm really hoping they get into the 50's AIP films as well.

It would be awesome if they could include the Pere Ubu underscore but I know that it will not (maybe cannot) happen.

For those of us who fondly remember the MGM Midnite Movies DVD line, these last 6 months have been a dream come come true.

The Midnite Movies were a collection of all my favorites. They are mostly remembered for the AIP horrors but even movies like BEACH BLANKET BINGO were released under the Midnite Movies banner.

A year ago, I wouldn't have bet a nickel that we would ever see any of these on Blu-ray...save for a Vincent Price title or two.

Now, with Kino, Scream and Olive releasing these movies, we are nearing the time where we can reasonably hope that virtually the whole MM series will make the transition to Blu-ray.

It really quite an amazing turn of fortune in a short period of time.

We're getting a lot of these Midnite Movies, and that's a great thing.

I'd love to see Panic in Year Zero, The Island of Dr. Moreau (1977), and It! The Terror from Beyond Space.

He Terrorfirmer, dig you avatar. I too am Canadian and grew up watching reruns of The Hilarious House of Frankenstein in the early 80s.

According to an MGM employee, the transfer for X was done just a couple of months ago. Reportedly, the TV prologue will also be included, but I don't yet if it will be attached to the film itself, or available as a separate supplemental feature.

Please, please, please Kino - make the cover art the movie poster in the OP!!!

The X-Ray'ed monkey holding the banana is too funny, and the girl reminds me of those X-Ray Specs from the old comic books. It's awesome!!!

Those ads and the Charles Atlas ads will be forever burned into my consciousness.

In the good way.
