Awesome. I am hoping and praying for lossless, but I will probably buy it regardless.

The music and sound effects make this movie so much more effective I really hope WB doesn't screw up on this one.

Agreed. Along with Halloween, I am sure that I will be double dipping much like I did for DVD. And Warner knows this, I'm sure.

Wouldn't you know. I FINALLY bought A Nightmare on Elm Street on DVD about a month ago because I figured it would be a pretty long time before it ever hit BD. Good thing I only paid about $10 for it. Oh well.

Your right I would most likely get the Friday the 13th boxset as well. I just think if they did it right the remake could be better than the first movie. I want Child's Play too. Chucky rules. The exorcist is the big one for me.

TrueHD is a form of lossless audio.

PCM, DTS-HD MA, and TrueHD are all forms of lossless audio.

I have that boxset, it f@*king rocks!!! The last 20 or so minutes of Freddy's Dead is 3D! I now usually just watch that part over and over. It used to look like crap on my old crt tube tv but now on my 47" LG 1080p and through my ps3 being upconverted to 1080@60p, it looks awesome. Really, really hope that they release the entire set on Blu. I'll repurchase day 1!!

Then you may not ever see the second or third released.
For the record also, the versions in the set ( which I have ) are not the best dvd releases out there for them.
But you never know, that waiting thing might work for you...

but now with New Line merging into Warners -I would assume DTS sound is a thing of the past

They should not release just he first one but bring the boxset to blu ray why not it already made money and if they release them individually like they always do later down the road we get the boxset just to piss us off because we already bought each one individually just dumb marketing if you ask me BRING THE BOXSET!!!
