plasma owners, leave your menu screen up for a few hours and see if you get burn in. have you ever fallen asleep during a dvd and wake up in the middle of the night and it is on the menu screen? burn in is real and it may be true that higher end plasmas deal with it better (i have even seen burn in on lcds!!!) but burn in will happen to anything.
