That's nothing, you should try watching him in Dario Argento's Giallo. He plays a homicide detective which is serviceable enough fare, if nothing especially exciting. This is a picture of his character:
![]() But then he decided that he also wanted to play the serial killer villain as well and Argento was pretty much forced to use him in an ill-advised dual role by the producers and Brody himself. To pull this feat off, they heavily disguised Brody's face - thereby creating one of the most unintentionally funny and 100% unthreatening movie characters of all time. Truly one of the worst casting decisions ever made. Just take a look at the "villain" in this utterly disastrous 2009 film: ![]() ![]() As if that wasn't bad enough, Adrien Brody also chose to give the killer a funny voice too! When they showed Giallo at a London Frightfest film screening, the UK audience was in absolute stitches, they just couldn't stop laughing. Before filming starting, oscar winner Brody claimed that Giallo would be a return to classic Argento territory and that's what we finally ended up with. ![]() Last edited by SymbioticFunction; 01-15-2015 at 06:40 PM. |
