I just ordered the Superman 8 disc set from Amazon UK. With shipping it was just $16.68!! I already own Superman The Movie & Superman II The Donner Cut. I just wanted the bonus 8th disc.

yep, that's the same deal I got last week... can't wait to get it!! SUPERMAN II is right up there with the best superhero movies of all time and I didn't want the U.S. Donner cut only... looking forward to watching both versions soon...

Thanks yet again, TT. Great business practice of ensuring only the very limited few who were in-the-know enough to be signed up on half a dozen different websites and an equal number of exclusive email addresses might... just might... have been notified in time to order this on its actual release-for-preorder date a month ago that was never announced to anyone outside that exclusive list. The 10,000s who weren't will, of course, enjoy the pleasure and privilege of paying three and four and five times the price to get a scalper's extra. Yeay!

Your desire to piss and moan greatly surpasses your interest in this film. If you had put just a small fraction of the effort that you are currently expending pouting into keeping yourself informed, you would have a copy of Fright Night on the way.

Instead of derailing every TT thread with your nonsense, just add the email alert feature to whichever TT release you are interested in...since you "work for a living".
That way you'll have nobody but yourself to blame if you miss out on preorder info...and the rest of the thread will benefit as well.

Someone should inform my boss I haven't been working for months. I was able to get my order in therefore I've been spending months on the internet, scouring every website, even driving to Virginia to bang on SAE's door to let me know when the pre-order would go live... Oh wait, I didn't do that. I just checked out the 1st page of the TT once a week for an update, discovered the pre-order date back in the middle of December and then put an alert on my phone for 4pm on 12/30 .

I haven't gotten my shipping notice yet which is not surprising, I fully expect to receive it about a week after I get the disc in the mail haha.

Got one extra for a buddy of mine so not much of an issue. Even if I decided to peddle one off there would still be folks around these parts who would prefer buying in person than go through the hassle with eBay, PayPal and the like.

Here's the thread for the upcoming TT release of The Bounty. Do you see any pre-order release date either in the title or the forum discussion? Yeah... neither do I. And unless we all check it repeatedly, we won't until it's announced and everyone rushes to buy this one, too. Of course, as this is no where near as popular a release as Fright Night, those with jobs might actually have a chance at this one, at least.

From the SAE website FRONT PAGE:

December 9th - New from TWILIGHT TIME - March and April's new release schedule: THE BOUNTY (1984) - MARCH 10TH

The pre-order dates are approximately 25 days before the listed street dates.

25 days prior to March 10th is Feb 13. ALL pre-order titles have gone on sale on Wednesdays at 4PM EST. So, the March 10th titles will either go up on Feb 11th or 18th. Just go to their site on those days at 4PM. Just that simple. I'd check Feb 4th as well.
