People keep bringing up Screamers... Is this the title you folks are referring to? If so it was released on Blu Ray last June.

Oh man I'd get Warlock just for Lori Singer!
I'd love to see Shout/Scream branch out into the Fantasy genre and call it Sword Factory!
I think it's this untapped market that would have a lot of 40/50-somethings gladly paying to relived their those great 70's/80's fantasy/sword & sorcery years. Sword Factory, I bet, could do some incredible Collector's Edition releases for some great gems out there.
Just sayin' D&D was, and still is a massively popular game that has many followers.

Dragon-f'n-Slayer..... end of story! lol

Another Warlock fan! Alright! Lori Singer was indeed....well worth it! My wife enjoyed Julian Sands portrayal, but she hates how the dvd looks. It wasn't a very good release. I'd definitely would be down for more 70's/80's fantasy. Reminds me I need to pickup Q..... I did love a good D&D game. It's been 6 years since the last campaign. *sigh* My wife has some old rule books and we keep tossing around finding a group or getting one together....

That's just great stuff, right there!
I've probably said it way too much in various threads, but I can't help thinking this would be nice little label for someone that want to invest in it.
And yes, Dragonslayer not out on BD, is borderline criminal!

I do the same thing all the time even though I know better now. Screamers, Wolfen, Phase IV, Split Second, The Stuff. I can't help myself.

Split Second! Oh wow! I haven't heard that title brought up in a long time!

I just prefer having them in individual cases if given a choice.

I won't buy both the individual releases and the double feature just the one. And yeah I am trying to collect all the Scream Factory titles but no duplicates like the two Halloween sets (the Deluxe edition is fine with me).

Despite not growing up with it (I never even saw it until I bought the DVD), Dragonslayer is one of the DVDs I've watched the most times. Something about the feel of it really works for me. It's some combination of the really dark and dirty feel of the setting, the great effects work and dragon design, and one of the best music scores of any 80s movie. It definitely is the kind of thing that should come out on bluray at some point from somewhere, it was a pretty major production and it was important in the history of special effects. It sure doesn't seem like scream factory material, though, despite having some gruesome death by baby dragon stuff. :P

But then again, neither does Mad Max!

I watched Night of the Comet finally, and enjoyed it way more than I thought I would (and I thought I would like it quite a bit!). I wasn't expecting Raoul to be the male lead, so it was fun having a minor Eating Raoul reunion in that scene with him and Mary Woronov. More importantly, the two leads give about the best performances in any 80s teen horror movie. They're both just perfect for the roles and in scenes like the one where they talk on the roof you get way better dialogue and acting and character development than you usually see in these things.

Although the show is cheesy as s***, it would be kind of awesome if SF were able to work on Freddy's Nightmares.

Jaws 2 is actually a good sequel and worthy as a follow up.

Jaws 3 and Jaws 4: The Revenge...I agree they're crap.

I hear where you're coming from, but J2 is such a sad, half-assed rehash of the original that is actually the least watchable to me. And I will watch anything with Scheider in it. J3 is pretty forgettable, but at least to me has the atmosphere of 80s slasher film in places so I can tolerate it a bit. The best sequel is the worst move. J4! It is bonkers and largely made and acted by people who really believed in the film which adds to the hilarity of the inexplicable finished product. J4 is easily the sequel I enjoy/watch the most.

you're enjoying it as a train wreck and i agree that it's entertaining in a "make fun of it" sort of way....

Jaws is my favorite movie of all time (and I'm also a Scheider fan) but in my mind JAWS 2 is the only good sequel and I appreciate it for what it is...

I dont recall any type of announcement for these releases ?
It's strange they wouldn't release Chilling Visions with its sequel. I too will have to find the single releases as I'm not a fan of two random films thrown together. Hopefully they will drop drastically in price.

Looks like you missed one. How strange and unnecessary is this?

Do we really need three ways to buy these films? This is something I could see Echo Bridge doing.

This exactly. J3 and 4 are enjoyable 80's cheese I watched on cable a lot as a kid. Jaws 2 tries to be a good movie and fails.

It's odd that Remains is in a Triple feature but has no release of it's own.
