Do any of these Old Yeller/Love Bug/Pollyanna have the extensive features contained on the 2 disc Vault Disney dvds? Or will I be keeping both the dvd & buying strictly for the movie?

the official DMC thread has them covered, as well as the first post in here has all listed to date.
as I interpret it - you can only get the title as a 'Movie Club' member, but once you acquire it, you can then put the code # into the 'Rewards Club' membership for the 150 points. You essentially have to have both: 'Movie Club' for the disc, the bonus points for your DRC account.

Correct - acquiring the physical blu-ray means you have to be a member of the Movie Club in order to do so (unless you want to pay 3rd party pricing).
The movie will come with Disney Movie Reward points (the image linked earlier in the thread, when someone was trying to confirm what I had already said - that this item actually exists) but they're not like some DMR points, where you get a digital file of the movie as well.

It should, all the others thus far have in their initial pressings.

Why/How do you have SOO much trouble with facts???

Refresher for you:
-A 6-page thread from 2012 was created, which had no confirmation of this title, saying it'll be "released soon".

-I create this thread when I get real confirmation that it's actually being released. You throw your usual hissy fit, of course, and complain and have a Mod merge this real thread into some speculative thread from 3 years ago.

-The actual information for the release is put on page 7 of that speculation thread, so I contact a Mod to have it moved into the first post (while YOU may like having threads with no information in the first post for people to easily find.....99.9% of the rest of forum members do not ). What ends up happening is this thread becomes the thread for this title (since it actually has confirmation/relevant information in it FOR the release of said item), and the speculation thread gets moved where it belongs...in a wish list section.

Nowhere was there a "asking to be granted a thread", because sad to say, nobody besides yourself cares that much about starting threads.
When real members start threads, they actually try to make it helpful for others AKA including information that can be easily found...and is confirmed.
Not some speculative "someone at digitalbits posted this, so it must be true" nonsense that you use as your source of confirmation.

So you can continue trolling actual threads people make all you want And when I or anyone else feels like making a thread with RELEVANT and ACTUAL information in it, it can be done so

FFS, get over it

Feb 10th is the release date.
very happy about this release, as I've been waiting ever since the format started for all of the hayley mills' films.
Really hope The Parent Trap is next.

I cannot find "Pollyanna" anywhere on the Disney Movie Club site, so how exactly is it being offered? Can you include this title as one of your initial 5 titles, or the additional two bonus films you can order as a new member? Will it be offered as one of the automatic monthly titles, or must you be a member who has fulfilled the entire 3 or 4 purchases over a two year period to even order the film? Lots of questions, but not a lot of clarity regarding the whole program. Hope somebody can help!

The first few posts in the DMC THREAD explain it pretty well on how the whole club works.

It can be ordered in either a "enrollment title" or "commitment title" capacity, though the enrollment route may be YMMV as explained heavily in that thread.

Fortunately I was able to do my own Bluray of The Parent Trap as C4 aired a nice HD version over Xmas .
Why do studios do this ? Yet another charter for non US buyers to get ripped off

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, after plowing through 600 plus postings, I do not know what YMMV stands for, and my initial question about Pollyanna is still unanswered! I still do not appear to be able to order it as an enrollment title, and if I sign up, unclear about when it will be available as a commitment title. Sigh....

You didn't need to go through 600 postings. I said first FEW posts (first three to be exact) of that thread, answer exactly how the whole thing works

YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary aka it's not a guarantee you'll get it; it's luck of the draw.
Commonly used verbage on this forum; I assumed based on your date it was known what it meant, my bad if not.

Your question about Pollyanna was answered in my response to you....
When you sign up, you have to pick 5 (or 7) titles in order to join.
If you're lucky with the Rep you land, you'll be able to pick it as one of those titles.
If not, once you've ordered those initial 5 or 7 ... then you can order it any other time you feel like.
Given the price of it though, as stated in that thread, it would never count as a commitment purchase, but you're still more than able to purchase it otherwise so long as you know it won't count as anything towards fulfilling your membership.

I just received my order (The Love Bug, Herbie Rides Again, Old Yeller and Pollyanna). The first thing I did was put in Pollyanna to see if it miraculously had bonus features since it was originally announced way back when Babes in Toyland came out. Sadly, it follows the DMC Exclusive trend of being barebones. But it is nice to finally have it in HD. Now I just need enough free time to sit down and watch any of these.

Nice review. In addition to lack of bonus features, my biggest concern is they used the wrong aspect ratio (1.66:1 instead of 1.75:1, which was correct on the DVD).

Hi all,

I'm too old and dim-witted to try to navigate the web-like complexities of signing up for this Disney club and then needing to deal with the ongoing VIP featured-purchase thing or try to cancel.

To make like simple, would someone who's already a member be willing to buy and mail me Pollyanna and Old Yeller? I'll be more than happy to pay you $5 over your costs per title... if interested please PM me etc.

Thanks!

dave

p.s. now where is 20,000 Leagues, Parent Trap, and Swiss Family???

maybe my DLP projector was pumping out too much light or something - but the image seemed waaay on the bright side. Other than that the film has no imperfections and displays a sharpness that is quite eye popping.

I don't think its your projector. There are a couple of outdoor shots that look way too bright. I didn't compare it to the DVD release, but I didn't recall it looking that way.
