No shot against you for being a Prime member, pardner. For me, however, it doesn't make much economic sense (it would make more sense if it applied to the stuff I import from foreign Amazons ). No, my disagreement is with Amazon - pertaining to pre-orders. With the order placed early, it should've been shipped on time to arrive by the release date. Certainly, it should've been in the pipeline by now and their people should be equipped with honest facts so they can answer questions. It's always embarrassing when the customer has to explain things to the associates, much less the supervisors.

As for Prime, I get it once a year. Around Black Friday I'm always offered a month of free Prime - because their sales/marketing people know that folks will buy more with quick, free shipping, and that the lack of the $35 minimum will prompt more impulse buying. The rest of the year I fade back into the pack and play the free shipping/$35 minimum game. Gotta say, their moving from $25 to $35 has cost them a lotta business. I've had over $25 in my cart many times when a special deal evaporated before I could get to $35. And free shipping combined with 5% rewards from Best Buy and Discover has sent a lot of my business to Best Buy, but that's another story. Enjoy your Prime, my friend, it's a great deal fer them that gots it - especially if you stream!
