Things that make this tv a standout for me:

120hz/motion enhance implementation that has never made anything look wierd.

Alpha-IPS panel that has virtually no image shift at even extreme angles.

i believe that's the white-to-black response time... not grey to grey (what most LCD manufacturers use) which means it is exceptionally fast and the grey-to-grey time would be like 2.5 or something... its only .7 ms slower than my TV and I have never seen any kind of motion blur or lag at all

it has 120Hz that is always on. but it is not like other TVs with the 120Hz, it doesnt make things look weird, it just reduces motion blur

I Like the 30000:1 contrast ratio on this tv.

Don't pay too much attention to contrast ratios, especially dynamic contrast ratios. I own the LN40A530 and it supposly has 20,000:1 yet in the store while i was playing with both sets, the picture and black levels of the 530 and 550 were identicle.
