True. However, I still think that Holmes made the best of that character. Gyllenhaal was simply irritatingly happy and optimistic during one of Gotham's darkest times.

I don't think she's all that good of an actor. I saw her interview with Jon Stewart on the Daily Show, and her own personality is almost indistinguishable from her character's--not much acting at all.

If you aren't a fan, then why would you spend $20 on a blu ray to see it, rather than spending $6 for a matinee, or $10 for a regular show? Makes no sense to spend double the price if you aren't a fan.

Also, brilliant how the Joker lives and isn't killed by Batman. The Dark Night ruled!
I am not sure if you have seen Batman Begins, but that is the formula for these films.

I think it was to show that the baddies are still out on the streets. To reinforce that Batman is not ever really ever done.

Saw it yesterday morning. Incredible movie. The only complaint I had was that the action towards the end of the movie was weak compared to the action in the middle of the movie...ie, the Joker and Batman standoff.

Heath Ledger is the star of this movie. I can't imagine this movie being as incredible as it is without his performance. I can guarantee the next sequel will not live up to the expectations that TDK has set.

I loved Dark Knight. Loved it. There was one really bad cut though.

[Show spoiler]When Batman is on the Batpod chasing down the Joker, who is chasing down Dent's motorcade. He is speeding through a mall or store, he blows out a couple of windows and doors. Then, miraculously, Batman is on the streets. It was just an unsmooth editing cut.

I still loved the movie though, it gets a 99%.

Great movie.. I completely agree... but all this Oscar talk is just.... like who cares... I mean does anyone really watch the oscars and these self righteous hollywood elites... Heath was amazing in the movie but could really care less what the "Academy" thinks of his performance or about anything else.
Congrats to Nolan, Bale, Ledger, Oldman and Ekhardt on this masterpiece.

[Show spoiler]It does matter. Joker lied to batman on purpose, he wanted Rachel to die because he knew that batman cared for her. Joker killed Rachel to see how far he can push batman.

I hope this was done on purpose so they can introduce a proper batmobil. The tumbler is good and all and after seeing it in action it deserves to be the bat's ride of the Begins and Knight's magnitude but in all honestly I miss the real batmobil in those movies. Hopefully it will be in the next movie

Well I would like to believe that they will get it right eventually. I do think the untimely death of Ledger will play a factor in his potential nomination. Which is kind of a shame because that was an oscar worthy performance all by itself, and it should be recognized for it's greatness not because he passed away. R.I.P Mr. Ledger, that was one of the most memorable perofrmances I have ever seen in a movie.

Exactly... a credit card always has at least a 21 day grave period, which means that you can pay that $10 off within 21 days without being charged interest. Just do it that way and you have nothing to worry about.

Yeah, I own it. I wouldn't go as far as saying there is a formula considering TDK had
[Show spoiler] 2 villains
and Batman Begins didn't. Plus Rachel
[Show spoiler] doesn't die and at the end they walk off holding hands, even though they aren't together. In TDK she losses interest in him completely, want to marry Harvey then gets her a$$ blown away. I wouldn't say they are the same at all.

I thought Rachel looked a lot like Princess Leia

Theres no way Heath is Oscar worthy. He did a good job, but shouldn't win the award for the best actor. I thought it was a great movie and will leave it at that.

Anyone think it's crazy they killed 2 face off so quick? I do. I like that Crane is still around to. I liked his Character. I hope to see more of him.
