Why don't they give tracking on these movies? Someone is stealing them because they aren't tracked. I think Amazon.de is going to think I am getting them and lying which I am not.
I don't think international tracking exists on the lower-tier shipping methods, which is why Amazon and the rest don't give you tracking.

You need to allow up to six weeks for Amazon EU. There is a wide variance of shipping speed. They will give an estimated delivery time of about two weeks, and when it doesn't arrive in 3-4 weeks people freak out and complain and Amazon always sends replacements prematurely. 99% of the time the article arrives anyway within the six week period so they end up with 2 copies. If they're lucky, they won't require you to send the other back, and if not, it's a pain to return and go through the hassle.

Hmmm, I've ordered a ton of stuff from Amazon UK and 99% of the time get it in two weeks or less, so do think it's understandable to wonder what's up when you don't get it in three weeks. The only time that ever happened to me Amazon sent a replacement and I only ever got the replacement.

I mean if they'll send you another why not do it.

If Amazon used DHL then the packages can take a very long time to arrive. I know there used to be an issue with DHL returning packages back to Amazon after they arrived at their UK hub. I don't know if that issue was ever fixed.

Most of the time I get it within two weeks as well. The rest of the time it comes a few weeks later later (up to 6 weeks). If they are willing to ship it while gifting the original if it arrives after shipping the replacement, then fine, I'm happy for them to do so.

But if they require a return should it come, I'd rather wait a little longer rather than go through the almost certain hassle of returning the original order, since in my case they have always arrived.

Yeah having to send something back to the UK would be a pain. I had an order that was taking awhile to arrive so I emailed Amazon UK about it and they sent out a replacement with free fast shipping with tracking. However, the very next day my original order arrived. Luckily I was able to contact them and they were able to have the replacement sent back before it ever got to me. Although according to the tracking it made it all the way to the UPS facility in my city before it was stopped and returned.

If you're talking about the merits of something then by definition you're focusing on its better qualities, that is, the elements that make it worthwhile or something of quality. The emphasis isn't on its flaws.

Why not encourage people to post about what they like about the disc instead? I don't know about you but I'd find that to be much more interesting then continued posts about "micro blocking" etc.

AmazonUK shipping is vastly different than AmazonDE shipping.

+1. UK shipping gets to me in about 2 1/2 weeks, unlike Amazon EU.

In my case, I ordered the German edition of Rio Bravo around the first week of January. Finally deciding I waited long enough, I placed the order, since the U.S. version was OOP, and was costing upwards of $100+.

Anyway, it took about 6 weeks, finally receiving it last week. What ticks me off, is during the interim, the announcement of the U.S. edition is being re-released. Oh, well.

People talk about anything significant. There are definitely a ton of posts about what a great 4k scan this got and such, it's not all negative. It's just a fact there are some very brief issues and I can't blame anyone for talking about them. That's what the forum is for, both ways.

So I got an update.
After trying for over two months to get this film they finally said they were going to ship it priority and that I should get it with in 2 weeks.
Apparently I am not the only one having this problem. I am thinking that someone who works for the shipping company the use is stealing the movies due to a lack of tracking. If this attempt fails they are going to just refund my money which is fine with me.

Do you guys think Fright Night 2 will EVER get another release on a physical format, whether it's blu-ray, DVD or 4K and beyond?

Does anyone know if there's anywhere in the world to get a blu-ray of this with lossless audio without paying an arm and a leg for one of the two Twilight Time releases? I'm assuming that all other versions from around the globe are the exact same with dolby digital, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

You're right. The Twilight Time releases are the only ones with lossless audio.

Thanks for your response, but what about these:

Out of all editions listed on this site other than the TT versions, just these four are shown to have English DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio. They are from Brazil, Denmark, Holland, and Norway respectively. What's up with that? Just some idiot jack-asses entering false information, or could they actually be correct?
