I suspected all along that Indy 4 was horrible largely because of Lucas and it seems I was right. There is no way Speilberg would have put out a total piece of garbage like that on his own; only Lucas would.

George obviously ruined the story/script. But I hold Spielberg responsible for the whole LeBouf mess -- by mess, I mean him actually having a career and being in every damn Dreamworks movie over the last two years. So, really, nobody is innocent as far as Indy 4 goes.

Yeah, I almost walked out of the theater when Shia swung thru the trees with monkeys.

The problem with the movie is how good the previous movies were everyone went in expecting this great movie and it was only a pretty good movie failing to meet peoples expectations, it was the same with Star Wars episodes 1-3.

I liked the movie, but I was disappointed because I was expecting great things, if I had no expectations going in I probably would have thought the movie was really good.

I am looking forward to the next installment.

unfortunately Spielberg can't take Indy back to Nazi times due to Harrison's age. I say give the reigns to Nathan Fillion....the next Indiana Jones instead of that good for nothing I'm in every movie Shia. I truly hope they don't make a 5th movie......I don't want to go through another brain damage inducing crystal skull movie. I wish Luca's skull was made of crystal so I could shatter it.

They need to do another so they can redeem themselves. Indy deserves to go out the way he came in.

I am seriously hoping that if they do another one, that it has to do with actual historical artifacts that are known worldwide and has a semi decent plot to it.

And another thing, I want the next Indy movie to have actual stunts and less computer generated stunts like some of the crap Indy 4 brought out. That is one of the big reasons that I liked the original Indy series. Everything they did were actual stunts.

I'm all for another one . . . as bad as Crystal Skull was in comparison to the others, I'd still line up at midnight for a fifth, hoping to see what the fourth should have been.

everyone brings up the cgi in the new indiana jones movie, but there really wasn't that much cgi. a lot of it was real stunts.

. . . in front of a blue screen.

I've had Darabont's script on my desktop for a couple of months now. Still haven't read it for fear of liking it a lot more than KOTCS.

but a lot of it wasn't done in front of a blue screen. one scene that constantly gets mentioned is the one in the jungle with the sword fighting. people say that is cgi and done with a blue screen or whatever. but i saw a behind the scenes special on the movie and saw the shooting that scene in a forest. i understand george lucas' fondness of blue-screen magic, but speilberg doesn't like it much and i don't think that speilberg is lucas' whipping boy.

It will upset you. Darabont's version of Marion is so spot on to the Marion we knew in Raiders, and the action set pieces are fully developed scenes instead of the stalled, start and stop bits that were in the finished movie.

Lucas ruined the Indiana Jones franchise... I would have loved to see what Frank Darabont could have done with it...

“It was a tremendous disappointment and a waste of a year. It showed me how badly things can go. I spent a year of very determined effort on something I was very excited about, working very closely with Steven Spielberg and coming up with a result that I and he felt was terrific. He wanted to direct it as his next movie, and then suddenly the whole thing goes down in flames because George Lucas doesn’t like the script.” - Frank Darabont

It won't be Ford playing Jones, It will be his son. I doubt Ford will even be in it.

That sounds like a good idea, Shia Labeouf (how the hell do you pronounce that name ?) was his son in the last movie and he could kind of take over and thus bring the movie to new grounds
